Can I Still Get an Abortion in Indiana?
Indiana has a near total ban on abortions except in very limited circumstances and time frames. The law governing abortion in Indiana is Indiana Code § 16-34. While some states may allow a woman to have an abortion for any reason or just because she wants to abort the fetus up to a certain number of weeks into the pregnancy, Indiana does not. Therefore, if you do not fit into one of the exceptions found in Indiana Code § 16-34, you will need to explore other options for your baby. One of which for some women who find themselves with an unplanned pregnancy, untimely pregnancy, unexpected pregnancy, or unwanted pregnancy is adoption.

POSITIVE ADOPTION LANGUAGE DISCLAIMER: Please understand that these blog posts are written in a way to use language that people use when searching for help with their adoption plans. Unfortunately, while all of us understand what positive adoption language means, most expectant moms that come to us at first do not understand what that means. The most common search term on the Internet for expectant moms is “how do I give up my baby for adoption”. If we do not include those words in our blog posts, and instead put “how do I create an adoption plan for my baby” then our website will not show up in most expectant mom’s search results in Google.
