Choosing Adoption Is Not “Giving Up”
You may have heard phrases like “give your baby up for adoption” or “put your baby up for adoption.” But adoption is not giving up.
Choosing adoption is a deeply loving decision. It means putting your child’s future first and choosing a safe, stable, and caring home when you may not be in a position to provide that right now.
You Stay in Control
One of the biggest misconceptions about adoption is that once you contact an attorney or agency, you lose control of the process. That is not true.
At Kirsh & Kirsh, P.C., you remain in control of your choices from beginning to end. You decide:
- Whether adoption is right for you
- What type of adoption you want- open, semi-open, or closed
- Which adoptive family you choose
- How much contact you would like after placement
- What kind of future relationship feels comfortable for you
How Does Adoption Work
A call or a simple message. Our team will explain your rights, your choices, and the resources available to you. If you move forward, you will review profiles of adoptive families and choose the one that feels right to you.
When your baby is born, you will have as much time as you want together. You can sign your consent any time after birth. Once signed, the decision is legally final.
Compassionate Support When You Need It Most
No matter where you are in your journey, support is always available 24/7. There is no judgment. Just honest guidance, compassionate care, and the reassurance that whatever you decide, you don’t have to face it alone.

Positive adoption language Disclaimer:
Please understand that these blogs are written in a way to use language that people use when searching for help with their adoption plans. Unfortunately, while all of us understand what positive adoption language means, most expectant moms who come to us at first do not understand what that means. The most common search term on the Internet for pregnant moms is “How do I give up my baby for adoption.” If we do not include those words in our blog posts and instead put “How do I create an adoption plan for my baby,” then our website will not show up in most expectant moms’ search results in Google.
