Surprise Adoption – December 4, 2014

UPDATE: December 5, 2014

TIME! That adoption took, from start-to-finish 17 hours and 34 minutes, to complete. We did all of this at the request of the birth mother. Paralegal extraordinaire, Emley Holcombe, prepared the documents and adoption attorney, Grant M. Kirsh made it to the hospital around 6p last night to meet with mom for a few hours to go through everything thoroughly and to answer all of her questions. Mom was relieved we were able to get there that fast.

We made it to court first thing this morning, got the paperwork filed and had the court order back to the hospital before 9:30a.

Grant just spoke to mom. She met the adoptive parents this morning, after spending a good hour on the phone last night with them. They all LOVE each other. Everyone is doing great!

We just received a call from a social worker at an Indiana Hospital regarding a surprise infant adoption. The baby was born today and the mom wants to proceed with an adoption plan for her child (placing the child for adoption). The mom sounds like such a sweet woman! Emley is preparing the documents right now so that Grant can get to the hospital this evening to meet with her to explain the process and go through the paperwork. She wanted us to work fast, so we are working fast!

Even if you are days away from delivering, or even if you already delivered, we can still help you with an adoption plan if that is what you want to do. Just contact us and we will take care of the rest.
